REMPLOY LAUNCHES NEW SADDLE PIVOT WINDOW

Remploy Building Products has further broadened its penetration in the public housing sector by adding a new saddle pivot window to its expanding portfolio of products.

The uPVC frame is fabricated from WHS Halo’s ‘System 10’ 70mm profile, and features Caldwell 3000 pivot hinges and a fully secure multi-point locking system from Roto Frank’s new and technically advanced NT range. The saddle pivot window is weather rated to 600 Pa for air, and 800 Pa for water penetration under laboratory conditions. All profile contains fully galvanised steel reinforcement for added strength and security.

Increasingly, saddle pivot windows are being specified in medium- and high-rise social housing where both safe ventilation and ease of cleaning is a requirement. The design allows the outside of the window to pivot back on itself, thereby facilitating cleaning from indoors. Though fully reversible, the Caldwell hinges feature a restrictor to prevent the window from rotating on itself without specific intention.

Remploy Building Products is part of Remploy Limited, the UK’s largest employer of disabled people. The company offers a unique proposition to local authorities seeking to satisfy their diversity requirements and, with more than 80 sites throughout the UK, it is able to employ local people in the final assembly and installation.
