Remploy Building Products... Training and Development

Arguably the major threat to achieving the government’s Decent Homes Standard is the skills shortage in construction. To combat this, Remploy Building Products, in partnership with Bowater Building Products, operates an industry-renowned Centre of Excellence.

The facility has been established specifically for the training and development of surveyors, fabricators and installers of PVC-u windows and doors. Working with accredited training providers, the Centre of Excellence offers the potential for new employees to develop their skills. Tailored courses are aimed both at newcomers to construction and employees from other trades in need of retraining. These include tenant care, surveying, installation, maintenance and removal of existing PVC-u windows, along with compliance with Building Regulations.
